A coach who only keeps the best players isn’t really developing players… he’s just selecting them. It’s that simple.

For me, being a coach means truly developing players — being there when they make mistakes, when they still struggle to control the ball, or when they doubt themselves. It means having patience, correcting, teaching, and giving them confidence when they need it the most.

Anyone can win when they only work with the most talented players. What truly defines a coach is helping those who are still learning to grow — the ones who need time, guidance, and opportunities.

Because for me, coaching is not about chasing quick results. It’s about trusting the process, building confidence, and watching every player improve step by step.

In the end, trophies stay in a cabinet… but the players you helped develop carry those lessons for the rest of their lives.
